Mr. Fereydoun Ardeshiri who was commenting about a New York Times report on a court verdict on Luxemburg who approved freezing of Iran’s assets in the country’s banks, told the reporters on Tuesday that verdict had been part of efforts to implement US court verdicts on allegations of violation of human rights by the Islamic Republic of Iran; “Luxemburg is one such country where Iran’s assets had been reserved; the US prosecutors’ demands are under consideration by a court in Luxemburg, which would or would not approve such scheme of freezing the assets; but the question is whether a US court verdict could be recognized in a third country such as Luxemburg,” Ardeshiri added.
“The Central Bank will provide its evidences and supporting documents to effectively blockade such efforts in this case as it had in other frequent cases, bringing them to the International Court of Justice, demanding that the Court give a verdict that disproves such verdicts by US courts,” he emphasized. “We also have filed for compensations possibly collectable for damage incurred by illegal and unjust such verdicts.”
“This is not a new situation and we are in a familiar ground where they had been launching psychological propaganda against Iran, this time in New York Times,” the official asserted.
